Pick up as you go

Woohoo! So I finally have my MacbookPro delivered and damn it looks great, not to mention it functions well, too. The commands I’ve yet to get used to, but I’m sure I won’t have a problem with it just shutting down whenever it feels like it. I’ve never raved about anything lately hence this, other than my wife’s pregnancy of course (she might be reading), and well my cousin finally passing the Bar exams. Oh yeah!

So I’m having a problem with my Windows Vista. Yesterday I was able to produce the same amount of work for three times much of the time I’m not supposed to be spending at work. Why? My two month-old laptop has been its very narcoleptic self. I’ve had it checked after that last time I said to myself, and turns out Vista is the name of the culprit.

Now, I understand that Vista is supposedly the best, but in this case it’s not even compatible with most of the applications, not even the printer I use! I am completely dumbfounded as to why they even made Vista accessible to the public with this much problems, and as much as I don’t want to submit to Steve Jobs’ world of evil apples, I am forced to do so, just for the sake of my output. Besides, I don’t ever wanna have to bother myself with these when all I need is to produce work in x number of hours.

The other day at work another friend of mine was complaining about his PC. Problems were narrowed down to the hasty service given by Vista. I’ve already called the department head to sign my release form and get myself a Macbookpro to get rid of this problem. I’m glad they understand the problem. Apparently 2 out of five units from the Human Resources department have switched. My bestfriend says, it’s like keeping a photo of your ex-girlfriend.
